The Kremlin has positively assessed statements by Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar that his country will not supply weapons or military equipment to Ukraine.
1news.media reports that this was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov.
“We view it positively. If a party says it considers it unnecessary to pour oil on the fire, that can only be welcomed,” the Kremlin said.
It added that peace in Ukraine would come sooner if all countries stopped supplying weapons to the Ukrainian government.
“We would expect all countries to make such a decision. Then peace would come faster,” the statement said.
