Slovakia has temporarily closed all border crossing points with Ukraine due to security concerns.
1news.media reports, citing Slovak media, the country’s Financial Administration announced that the restrictions came into force on 13 May at around 15:00 local time and will remain in effect until further notice.
The authority urged citizens to follow official updates and comply with instructions from Financial Administration officers and police.
The Slovak side did not provide detailed reasons for the measures. However, regional reports suggested the decision may be linked to large-scale Russian strikes on Ukraine, including attacks near border regions close to Slovakia.
