Israeli President Isaac Herzog visits Kazakhstan

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has paid an official visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

1news.media reports that Herzog announced the visit on his X account.

"I have just landed in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, for an official visit, at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Kazakhstan is a country of global importance, whose unique landscapes, culture, and beauty have inspired deep admiration in me for many years.

The long-standing partnership between Israel and Kazakhstan is of great importance to both countries, and the ties between us that continue to strengthen contribute to the prosperity of both peoples. These important relations were further strengthened by Kazakhstan's joining the Abraham Accords last year—a move that reflects the spirit of cooperation between Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

I look forward to meeting President Tokayev and senior government officials, as well as the local Jewish community in Kazakhstan, and to continue advancing the economic, scientific, and technological cooperation between our countries," the statement reads.
