Mossad Barnea says Iran mission not yet complete
Israel’s intelligence chief, Mossad Director David Barnea, said that the agency’s mission regarding Iran is not yet complete and will continue until longer-term objectives are achieved.
1news.media reports, citing Jerusalem Post, Barnea stated during a Holocaust remembrance ceremony in Jerusalem that Mossad would not stop its efforts until it contributes to the fall of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the establishment of what he described as a freer and less violent state.
He said the agency had planned its operations beyond the active phase of the conflict and that its mission would continue even after strikes on Tehran subside.
Barnea’s remarks marked the first time he publicly addressed his position on regime change in Iran, emphasizing that such an outcome would require sustained efforts beyond the war itself.
