According to the published information of the State Department of the United States of America, new restrictions on the issuance of non-immigrant visas for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic have been introduced this week, Kabar reported citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that these measures were taken by the American side unilaterally and without prior notice to the Kyrgyz side, which raises concern and requires clarification within the framework of diplomatic dialogue.
"In this regard, a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Imangaziev and Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kyrgyz Republic Lesslie Viguerie will be held in the very near future. During the meeting, it is planned to discuss the reasons for introducing restrictions, possible ways to mitigate them, as well as measures to prevent similar situations in the future,” the ministry noted.
The report said that Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry attaches great importance to constructive interaction with the American side and will continue to work to protect the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad.
