Political expert: Such incidents cast a shadow on interstate relations

The harsh treatment of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg and the killing of several compatriots are causing serious concern. Such incidents inevitably cast a shadow on relations between societies and countries.

Political expert Ulviyya Zulfigar expressed these sentiments in a statement tnwso 1nws.media

“Naturally, unresolved issues – such as the lack of concrete action regarding our downed civilian aircraft, the recent denial of entry to Russia for one of our parliamentarians, and the reckless statements by figures like Solovyov, who call themselves journalists – combined with the absence of a sensitive approach to these matters, are deeply regrettable.

The listed incidents remain unresolved. Moreover, the inappropriate reference by Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to the Russian President, to Azerbaijan’s sovereign territory as a ‘disputed region’ is another example of unacceptable behavior.

The prevalence of intolerance, chauvinism, and Islamophobia within Russian society, coupled with the unfortunate failure to curb these dangerous trends, demonstrates the government’s indifferent stance toward these issues,” the political expert emphasized.
