COP29 and COP30 High-Level Champions meet for first time in Bonn

The second day of the annual June Climate Meetings continued in Bonn as part of preparations for the upcoming COP30 conference.

The COP29 and COP30 High-Level Climate Champions, Nigar Arpadarai and Dan Ioschpe, have met for the first time to discuss accelerating climate action and building a strong partnership for COP30 in Belém, Brazil, following COP29 in Baku.

The counterparts discussed the success of COP29 and forthcoming climate summit in Brazil this year.

Not only the High-Level Climate Champions, but also the COP29 presidency is providing assistance and support to the COP30 organizing committee in all areas.
