Italian refs to oversee Newcastle vs Qarabag play-off

Italian referees to officiate Newcastle vs Qarabag Champions League play-off.

1news.media reports that an Italian referee team has been appointed for the return leg between Newcastle and Qarabag in England.

FIFA-listed referee Davide Massa will take charge, supported by assistant referees Filippo Meli and Stefano Alassio, with Luka Pairetto as the fourth official.

VAR responsibilities will be managed by Daniele Chiffi, with German referee Christian Dingert assisting.

The match at St. James’ Park is scheduled for the night of February 24–25, starting at 00:00 Baku time. In the first leg, Newcastle secured a dominant 6–1 victory.
