Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said the US is presenting “humiliating conditions” for continuing negotiations, which Iran will not accept, noting that Iran will neither submit to humiliation, nor accept a weak Iran.
1news.media informs, citing Mehr, he made the remarks in a meeting with a group of political elites, prominent figures and secretaries of parties, held in Tehran on Wednesday.
Pointing to the issue of sanctions imposed against the country, he said Iran had previously negotiated with the United States and had been ready to reach an agreement, but Washington disrupted the deal by resorting to war.
The president added that the US is now proposing humiliating conditions for the continuation of talks, which he said he is not prepared to accept, stressing that Iran will not submit to humiliation nor accept a weak and fragmented country.
Iran is not seeking confrontation, Pezeshkian underlined, noting that Tehran has repeatedly declared it is not pursuing the construction of a nuclear bomb and is ready for any form of verification.
