The German club Eintracht Frankfurt, which Qarabag will face in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League, has been fined.
1news.media reports that the European football body has decided on this.
This was due to the events that occurred during the match in which the Frankfurt representative lost at home to the English team Liverpool.
The Bundesliga club will have to pay a total of 39,250 euros. Eintracht suffered 11,000 euros in damages for closing public crossings in the said match, 10,750 euros for using pyrotechnics, and 17,500 euros for transmitting messages that are not appropriate for a sporting event.
It should be noted that the match ended with a 1:5 defeat for the Frankfurt club. The German team will face Qarabag on January 21, 2026, in Baku.
