Charges have been brought against 402 suspects in the criminal case of Ekrem Imamoglu, the former mayor of Istanbul, who was dismissed from his position and arrested.
1news.media reports that as part of the investigation against the "Imamoglu profit-oriented criminal organization," an indictment has been prepared for 402 suspects, 105 of whom are currently in custody.
The indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has brought claims in the Istanbul High Criminal Court regarding a total of 143 separate actions.
Among the suspects, 99 are identified as members of the organization, and one person is listed as the founder and leader of the organization (Ekrem Imamoglu).
Information indicates that Imamoglu faces a potential prison sentence of up to 2,352 years.
