Renowned Iranian actor Homayoun Ershadi has passed away at the age of 78.
1news.media reports, citing IRNA, that the actor had been suffering from cancer.
Ershadi gained international fame for his remarkable performance in the late director Abbas Kiarostami’s film “Taste of Cherry”, which won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He also appeared in the film “Ali and Nino.”
