US to build $500M military base on Israel–Gaza border

 The United States plans to build a large $500 million military base on Israel’s border with Gaza.

1news.media reports, citing the Shomrim portal and Israeli sources, that the base is intended for use by international stabilization forces that will operate to maintain a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

It is reported that several thousand soldiers will be stationed at the base.
