Strategic Tu-95MS bombers carried out a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea.
1news.media informs, citing TASS, “Strategic Tu-95MS bombers of Russia’s Aerospace Forces carried out a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea. The flight lasted more than four hours. Fighter escort was provided by Su-33 crews of the Navy,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
The ministry explained that crews of long-range aviation regularly conduct flights over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, Baltic, and Black Seas.
“All flights by Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft are conducted in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace,” the defense ministry added.
