Kozak demanded surrender; Yermak told him off
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, reportedly responded with a profanity to the Kremlin’s surrender proposal during the first hours of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
1news.media informs that this was reported by The Financial Times.
The call was allegedly made by Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Chief of Staff for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kozak reportedly told Yermak to convince Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to surrender, or be prepared to face the full force of the Russian military. Yermak responded with the phrase: “Idi na x..” — a strong Russian obscenity meaning “go to hell” or more literally, “f*** off.”
