® Central Customs Hospital hosts meeting with winners of “Zaka” career advancement competition for customs employees
On July 17, the Central Customs Hospital hosted a meeting with the winners of the “Zaka” career advancement competition for customs employees.
Welcoming the participants, Jeyhun Mammadov, Head of the Medical Services Department of the State Customs Committee, emphasized the significance of the competition in promoting the career growth of employees with modern knowledge and skills, as well as in forming a pool of qualified personnel within the customs system. He also underlined the importance of continuous self-improvement, deepening professional expertise, and upholding the principles of loyalty and service to the nation and people while carrying out official duties.
Following the meeting, a training session was organized for the winners of the “Zaka” competition. During the session, Ismayil Afandiyev, Deputy Chief of the Medical Services Department of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered a presentation titled “Diagnosis and First Aid in Cases of Snake and Other Poisonous Animal Bites.” Dr. Javad Jabarov, an emergency physician at the Emergency Medical Care Department of the Central Customs Hospital, presented on the topic “First Aid Course.”
Customs officers were provided with detailed information on identifying clinical signs of bites from poisonous animals, early detection of poisoning, administering on-site first aid, and the necessary steps to take until professional medical help arrives. The session also covered the principles of first aid in cases of seizures and respiratory arrest, including demonstrations of key techniques and practical exercises.
