Fenerbahce closes in on Colombian star Jhon Duran, striking deal with Al-Nassr

Fenerbahce is moving swiftly to finalize the loan transfer of Colombian striker Jhon Duran from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, aiming to add firepower to its squad ahead of the new season, according to Türkiye Today.

The 21-year-old forward, who joined Al-Nassr in January 2025 for a staggering €77 million ($90.25 million) fee, currently holds a market value of €35 million.

The Istanbul-based club has already reached a loan agreement with Al-Nassr and is now focusing its efforts on convincing the player, who is reportedly taking additional time before making a final decision.

According to reports from Turkish media, Fenerbahce has agreed to all the financial and contractual terms demanded by Duran and his representatives. While the club has wrapped up negotiations with Al-Nassr, the final green light now rests with the Colombian international.

To accelerate talks, Fenerbahce’s Football Director Devin Ozek has traveled to Colombia in person to persuade Duran.

Jhon Duran began his professional journey with Envigado FC in Colombia, where he earned a spot in the senior team in 2019. After 3 seasons, he moved to the MLS to join Chicago Fire, before making a switch to Aston Villa in the Premier League during the 2022-2023 winter transfer window. His most recent transfer to Al-Nassr came in January 2025.

Over the course of his career, Duran has made 173 professional appearances, scoring 49 goals and providing 11 assists. His experience across top-flight leagues in South America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East has made him a rising star in global football.
