Azerbaijan boosts clove imports by over 60%
In January-October of last year, 2.72 million cloves worth 188 thousand US dollars were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries.
1news.media reports that this is 63% more in value terms and 72% more in quantity than the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 2.46 million units worth 146.5 thousand US dollars from Turkey (76% more than the figure a year earlier), 214 thousand units worth 22.82 thousand US dollars from China (there were no supplies a year ago), 22.12 thousand units worth 10.14 thousand US dollars (-13%) from Colombia (-4%), 15.15 thousand units worth 4.12 thousand US dollars (-73%) from Ecuador (-78%), 2.44 thousand units worth 2.44 thousand US dollars (+37%) from the Netherlands (-24%).
Last year, for the first time in the last 14 years (note: the official statistics on foreign trade in public use are as of 2011), supplies were made from Ethiopia (0.82 thousand units worth 0.62 thousand US dollars).
