“Qarabağ”’s opponent appoints Gerrard as head coach
English club Liverpool, which is set to face “Qarabağ” in the UEFA Champions League, is preparing to dismiss head coach Arne Slot.
1news.media reports that the Merseysiders’ 3-3 draw away to Leeds in the 15th round of the Premier League sparked the management’s latest dissatisfaction.
As a result, Slot is expected to be replaced by Steven Gerrard. The 45-year-old coach is reportedly positive about the idea of managing his former team. He is currently unemployed.
It should be noted that Gerrard played for Liverpool from 1998 to 2015, scoring 120 goals in 504 matches. The team is currently eighth in the Premier League with 23 points.
