Netanyahu: Israel monitoring Turkiye’s regional actions closely
We are closely following Turkiye's regional steps.
1news.media reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this in a statement to the Telegram channel "Abu Ali Express".
He recalled that relations between Tel Aviv and Ankara have deteriorated due to the Israeli army's operations in Gaza.
Netanyahu claimed that Turkiye sometimes uses "extreme rhetoric".
The Prime Minister also emphasized that they maintain a certain distance from Turkiye and are closely following Ankara's regional steps:
"We are not looking for enemies, but we will not allow any country in the region to threaten us either."
Stressing that they are avoiding a confrontation with Turkiye, Netanyahu noted that they will do whatever is necessary to protect their country:
"But as much as possible, we will first establish a dialogue, while at the same time demonstrating a firm position."
