Romania condemns attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy building in Kyiv.
1news.media reports that the ministry stated that the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on November 14, when a Russian “Iskander”-type missile hit the territory of Azerbaijan’s embassy in Kyiv as part of missile and drone attacks, representing a gross violation of the Vienna Convention.
“The premises of diplomatic missions are inviolable. We express our full solidarity with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and our Azerbaijani colleagues,” the statement said.
It should be noted that Russia’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mikhail Yevdokimov, was summoned to the Foreign Ministry and strongly protested the incident, presenting a relevant diplomatic note. The protest concerned the missile and drone strikes on Kyiv around 1:00 a.m. on November 14, during which one “Iskander”-type missile fell on the embassy territory.
