Azerbaijani Referee to officiate Croatia vs Faroe Islands

Azerbaijani FIFA referee Aliyar Agayev has been appointed to officiate the World Cup 2026 qualifying match between Croatia and the Faroe Islands.

1news.media informs Agayev, 38, will be assisted by Zeynal Zeynalov and Akif Amireli, with Elchin Mesiyev serving as the fourth official. Portuguese referee Tiago Martins will act as VAR, and his compatriot Bruno Esteves as AVAR.

The match is set to take place on November 14 at Stadion Rijeka in the city of Rijeka.
