Russian shows long-range capabilities of new cruise missile
The nuclear-powered “Burevestnik” cruise missile completed a 14,000-kilometer test flight on October 21, and this is not the limit.
1news.media reports that this was stated by Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Valery Gerasimov in a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to him, the missile’s flight lasted approximately 15 hours during the test.
“The flight characteristics of the ‘Burevestnik’ missile allow it to be used with precision against highly protected targets at any distance. The missile has demonstrated the ability to evade air defense systems,” Gerasimov said.
