President Ilham Aliyev congratulated President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Republic Day.

Dear Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich,

On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I would like to convey to you and your brotherly people, on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Republic Day, my most sincere congratulations and best wishes.

Kazakhstan's significant successes in every field, economic development, increased welfare of the populatio,n and high prestige in the international community are the result of significant reforms carried out in the country under your leadership and your tireless activity.

The common historical and cultural roots of our peoples are one of the main factors determining our interstate cooperation. Relations between our brotherly countries develop in the spirit of mutual trust and high respect. The “Treaty on Strategic Partnership and Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the 20th anniversary of the signing of which we are celebrating this year, clearly reflects the strategic essence of our interstate relations.

The intensity of our political contacts, the existence of mutual understanding and active dialogue at the highest level, create a favorable basis for deepening our cooperation in various fields, especially in trade and economic, energy, including green energy, transport, investment, information technologies, cultural and humanitarian, and other areas.

The results, agreements, and documents we have achieved during my recent state visit to your brotherly country are a clear example of our unshakable will and determination to further deepen our relations.

I am confident that we will continue our joint efforts to strengthen the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan brotherhood, reliable strategic partnership, and alliance, and comprehensively expand our cooperation.
