Azerbaijan and UN sign new Cooperation Framework
The United Nations (UN) and the government of Azerbaijan have signed the UN Framework Document on Sustainable Development Cooperation for 2026-2030.
1news.media reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote about this on his social network account.
According to him, this document includes strategic priorities such as promoting inclusive socio-economic growth and human capital development, ecosystems, climate resilience, and an effective "green transition".
"At the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the UN, we were pleased to emphasize the dynamic nature of Azerbaijan-UN relations and their foundation in mutual trust. This partnership creates new opportunities for sustainable progress and effective support mechanisms to improve our country's economic development model. We signed the framework document as a new stage of joint activities," the minister noted.
