Trump orders troops to protect Portland and ICE facilities

US President Donald Trump has instructed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to restore order in the city of Portland, Oregon, and protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities that are conducting operations against illegal immigrants.

"I have instructed Hegseth to provide all necessary troops to protect Portland and any ICE facilities that are under attack by Antifa, as well as other left-wing terrorists," he said.
