Putin open to talks with Zelensky - Fico
Russian President Vladimir Putin is interested in meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and is ready to do so not only in Moscow, but also elsewhere.
1news.media reports that this was stated by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
"It would not be politically profitable for President Zelensky to meet with President Putin, and Russian citizens would not be happy with President Putin meeting with Zelensky. But both understand that even if this step could cause them political harm, it is important to meet and discuss the issue. Because if they do not negotiate, the war will continue," Fico noted.
At the same time, the Slovak Prime Minister believes that security guarantees should be provided not only to Ukraine but also to Russia. At the same time, he rejected the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO.
