Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States of America are entering a historic stage. President Ilham Aliyev's recent visit to the United States is a clear example of Azerbaijan's growing role in international politics, its strengthening influence, and its status as a reliable partner. This visit is important not only in terms of bilateral relations but also within the framework of global strategic cooperation. The establishment of the foundation for a strategic partnership format between Azerbaijan and the United States during the visit is considered a major diplomatic and political success for our country, according to Member of Parliament Fatma Yildirim.

She stated that the complete waiver, within the framework of the visit, of section 907 to the "Freedom Support Act," which had been in effect for years concerning Azerbaijan, was also an important event. These restrictions, which had been in place since 1992, were finally lifted after 33 years. This event is assessed not only from a political and diplomatic point of view but also as a historical turning point that will be etched in the memory of the Azerbaijani people. The complete waiver of section 907 is the result of President Ilham Aliyev's successful policy based on international law.

According to the MP, the historic document signed in Washington between Azerbaijan and Armenia – the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" project – is another great victory that will be written in gold letters in our country's diplomatic annals. This document is not only the result of years of intense negotiations and consistent diplomatic efforts but also a clear example of President Ilham Aliyev's resolute leadership, strategic thinking, and far-sighted policy.

The Trump Route will connect Azerbaijan’s mainland with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which has been under blockade for many years, directly linking our country to fraternal Turkiye. This project is not only a new transportation line but also a regional bridge that creates great strategic opportunities in the fields of energy, trade, logistics, and communication. This route will form a new economic and trade highway stretching from Central Asia to Europe, boosting the development of the entire region.

The importance of this project is also evident on the political level. This document, signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, means strengthening long-term peace in the region, restoring mutual trust between peoples, and opening a new page for cooperation. This is an initiative that will benefit not only Azerbaijan and Turkiye but also the entire South Caucasus and neighboring countries.

Fatma Yildirim noted that President Ilham Aliyev's foreign policy course has always been aimed at ensuring the country’s national interests, and every success achieved in this direction has been greatly supported by our people. The Azerbaijani people, as always, are united like a fist around their leader and support every step he takes.
