Eleventh National Selection Conference of European Youth Parliament Azerbaijan commences in Baku
The 11th National Selection Conference of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Azerbaijan officially kicked off in Baku on August 8.
The first day of the conference was traditionally marked by the Recognition and Team Building Day. The event took place at the European Azerbaijan School with the support of Bakcell, UN Azerbaijan, UN Women, UN-Habitat, the Fourth Industrial Revolution Development Center (C4IR) under the Ministry of Economy, the Ushaqlarimiza Oyredek Society, AzTV, Coca-Cola, Azersun, and other partners.
The Head Organizers of the session, Yusuf Karimli and Vusal Baghirli, noted that more than 100 young people from different regions of Azerbaijan and various European countries came together on this day, had the opportunity to establish first acquaintances, and lay the foundation for future cooperation.
Through various interactive games and activities, the participants were able to get to know each other better, building mutual trust and team spirit. The themes of this year’s conference included space, aviation, digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability, women’s empowerment, engineering, and technology. Team building is an integral part of EYP conferences, and this stage plays a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of committee discussions. Young people enthusiastically joined acquaintance games and peer activities organized both outdoors and indoors throughout the day.
At the end of the day, the program took on an even more colorful and informal tone — a water pistol game was held among the participants. This entertaining activity not only brought the young people closer together but also provided them with fun and memorable moments on a hot summer day.
The 11th National Selection Conference of EYP Azerbaijan will run until August 12. The program includes committee work, preparation of resolutions, seminars, a General Assembly session, as well as a high-level closing ceremony.
