Zelensky sacks Mukachevo district head
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Serhiy Gaidai from the post of Chairman of the Mukachevo District State Administration.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko also agreed to dismiss Serhiy Gaidai from the post of Chairman of the Mukachevo District State Administration at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to her, an extraordinary meeting of the government was held today.
Ukrainian media reports that the decision to dismiss Gaidai was made against the background of an investigation conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Combating Corruption, with the participation of high-ranking officials suspected of corruption.
Both agencies stated that they had discovered large-scale corruption in the purchase of drones and electronic warfare equipment. In particular, contracts were concluded at deliberately inflated prices.
It has been revealed that deputies, heads of district and city administrations, and National Guard servicemen have taken bribes.
Deputy Alexei Kuznetsov, from the Servant of the People party, has been implicated in these scandals. He is expected to be expelled from the party.
