Azerbaijan donates publications to UN Library Geneva

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva has made a financial donation to the Library and Archives of the UN Office at Geneva. In addition, the library received books featuring publications on the history and culture of Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Galib Israfilov, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Office, spoke about the longstanding and fruitful cooperation between the mission and the library. He noted that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to promoting inter-religious and intercultural dialogue. The ambassador also emphasized that he believes the financial support will significantly contribute to the preservation and enrichment of the library’s existing collections.

In his remarks, Francesco Pisano, Director of the UN Library Geneva, expressed his deep gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for both the financial support and the book donations. He expressed hope that this contribution would inspire other UN member states to make similar donations.
