Helicopters sent to battle the Lachin–Kalbajar fire

Two helicopters have been deployed to the area where a fire is ongoing in the mountainous areas of Lachin and Kalbajar regions.

1news.media reports that during the ongoing fire, the fire spread to a forest massif in the mountainous area.

Two helicopters from the Aviation Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Fire Protection Service, and the Special Risk Rescue Service have been deployed to the area to prevent the fire.

Firefighting operations are continuing from the air and on the ground.

The fire in the Kalbajar and Lachin regions is in mountainous areas with complex relief.

It was noted that the complexity of the relief and the constant blowing wind complicate firefighting operations.
