AZAL responds to possible Airbus delays

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has commented on a possible delay related to its Airbus passenger aircraft.

1news.media reports that the airline stated that as soon as official directives were received from Airbus, technical inspections were promptly conducted across its fleet.

“Based on the inspections, three aircraft were identified for corrective measures. In accordance with the recommendations, the software of these aircraft has been reverted to a previous stable version.

Airbus issued the directives after detecting certain malfunctions in the control systems of A320 family aircraft. According to the manufacturer, some flight control data can be distorted under strong sunlight. Consequently, an unscheduled software update was initiated, and operators were given the necessary instructions.

AZAL has resolved all technical matters fully and on time. Currently, all aircraft are operating normally.

The airline emphasized that flight safety remains the top priority, and all flights are conducted in full compliance with manufacturer requirements and international civil aviation standards,” the statement read.
