Azerbaijani Prosecutor General meets Vice-President of Romanian Senate
On November 24, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with Robert-Marius Cazanciuc, Vice-President of the Senate of Romania.
The sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, legislation, and legal cooperation.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev highlighted reforms in Azerbaijan’s prosecutorial bodies, including measures to strengthen the normative legal framework and ensure citizens’ rights and freedoms. He also provided an overview of the comprehensive modernization and enhancement of prosecutorial activities.
Aliyev described the recent visit of the President of the Romanian Senate, Mircea Abrudean, to Azerbaijan in October, during which he met with President Ilham Aliyev, as a reflection of the high level of bilateral cooperation.
Robert-Marius Cazanciuc expressed his satisfaction with hosting the Azerbaijani delegation at the Romanian Senate and spoke about ongoing legislative reforms in Romania. He noted that relations between the two countries are developing based on mutual trust and multifaceted cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Alex Florin Florența, Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice of Romania, and Gudsi Osmanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Romania.
Following the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation was briefed on the history of the Romanian Parliament building.
